New Jersey

Today Paige, Matt, and I drove to New Jersey. We went to Liberty State Park. There was a ferry that took people to Ellis island and the Statue of Liberty. I loved the ferry. We sat inside the boat so if it started to rain we wouldn't get wet. First the ferry went to Ellis Island. We didn't get off there. We stayed on the boat and it took us to the Statue of Liberty. When we got off the boat we walked around the water so that we could see the statue close up. After we got to go up into part of the statue. First we had to go through security. Matt and Paige hated taking their belts off. That was the 2nd time we had to do it that day. When we got inside we walked through a little museum and then climbed lots of stairs to the part we could go to. It was very windy where we went. We had to leave though to catch the ferry so we had to go back down the stairs. We rode the ferry back to the park and ate our lunches in the car. As soon as we got to the car it started to pour rain and rained the rest of the day. We then drove to Hoboken to go to Carlo's Bakery. Paige and I love to watch Cake Boss. When we got there we had to park far away and walk there. It started to pour rain. We got to the bakery and there was a long line to get inside. It looked like they were doing the tv show inside. Paige took a picture and we decided we didn't want to stand in the rain forever so we walked back. On the way back Paige and I split Ben & Jerry's ice cream while we waited for Matt to bring the car. Paige and I really wanted to go to the bakery but we got ice cream instead.

Lazy Day

This morning I woke up at 8:30 a.m. I was so tired from last night. When I woke up I watched tv. Aunt Lisa was already up. It was rainy a little. Aunt Lisa had to take Roger to school because it was pouring down rain. When she got back she made me breakfast. I had some Special K cereal with little chocolate chips in it with milk. Amanda woke up, she had rice krispies cereal. Paige woke up and Matt and Paige had eggs. Later in the day Matt and Paige went out to lunch. I stayed home with Amanda and Aunt Lisa to eat lunch. I had a bagel toasted with butter and a raspberry yogurt. After lunch we watched Madagascar and ate candy I had gotten last night. Then Paige and Matt came home. After the movie I opened my Polly pocket toy. It had a zip line and rock climbing. There was a table, chair and some food. Also a fire and marshmellows on a stick. Aunt Lisa, Amanda, and Roger went out to go to Kohl's and brought back food for dinner. Later we ate dinner. We had chicken, bow tie pasta, salad, zuccini & squash, and fruit salad. Tonight we are going to play Life.

Yesterday in the afternoon Matt, Paige, and I went to the outlets. There were lots of stores. I got a hoodie from UnderArmor. It was pink with the symbols all over it. On the hood there was a hole that I could stick my pony tail out of it. Paige got a pair of shorts. We went in more stores and then we went back to the house. We waited for Uncle Greg to get home from work before we went to the city. We ate a early dinner of leftover pizza before we went to the city. I had pasta instead of pizza. After dinner we drove back to the city. Roger didn't go because he didn't feel well. First we went to Rockefeller Center and saw the statue and all the flags. We took lots of pictures and we went to the Lego store. They had lots of huge things made of out Lego's. There was a dragon made out of Lego's that went throughout the whole store. We tried to go to the American Girl store but it was closed. They had lots of dolls in the window and I could see inside. There were lots of outfits to pick from. Next we went to M&M world. They had M&Ms in every color. There were lots all over the wall and some were different flavors. Paige got some pretzel M&Ms and I got a few different colors of regular ones. There was a machine that told you what M&M you would be. Paige and I both were aqua green. Amanda was red. Next we went to Hersey's. It smelled like chocolate in the store. It made me thirst. A lady let me turn the wheel to make all of the Hersey kisses fall down into a bucket. She gave me a hat and a Hersey's kiss for doing a good job. We saw Times Square next. There were lots of lights and billboards that looked so bright at night. It was cool. Finally we went to ToysRUs. It was my favorite part. Matt, Paige and I went on the Ferris wheel in the store. We rode in a barbie car. We saw the store from up high. After the ride we looked around and I picked out a toy for myself and one for Declan. Paige and I went in the giant barbie house. The last thing we did was get some candy from candy land. They had lots to choose from. We got a little of almost everything. I loved ToysRUs. We left the city and drove home. We got back late that night. This was my favorite day in New York.

2nd day in New York city

This morning we left the house at 10:22 a.m. to go to the city. Uncle Greg, Aunt Lisa, Amanda, Roger, Paige, Matt, and I all went this time. We drove into the city this time instead of taking the train. When we got into the city we went to the Museum of Natural History. First saw the space things and we watched a movie about stars in the planetarium. It was almost 3D. It was a movie on a round ceiling. I really liked it. When the movie was done we walked through the museum and saw lots of animals. My favorite animals we saw were all the birds. There was a bird with poky feathers. Then we went to see dinosaur fossils. There was a fossil of teeth. You got to touch them. Some were sharp, some were smooth and some were both. Right before we left the museum we went into the gift shop. I got a magic snake and a small panda bear. The magic snake I got is purple and Amanda got a blue one. I named mine Colbie Lylac Swift. We also got Declan something. After the museum we walked a lot. We walked through Central Park some until we got to Columbus circle. Then we turned back around and walked back to the car and drove home. For dinner we had yummy New York pizza, salad and fruit salad. Tonight we are going to watch Up.

New York City trip #1

This morning Aunt Lisa drove us to the train station. We got the train and rode it to Grand Central Station in New York city. The animals in Madagascar went to Grand Central Station. The big clock is there too. Then we started to walk. We saw the Empire state building, Little Italy, China town, The Brooklyn bridge, Wall Street, The Statue of Liberty and Ground Zero. We couldn't go up in the Empire state building because it cost a lot. We stopped at a park and I got to play for a little bit. There was a wedding happening right beside us in the park. I got gelato in Little Italy. I got chocolate, chocolate chip. It was very good. My favorite thing was walking across the Brooklyn bridge. We also went in a church. It had a huge organ inside. Near the statue of liberty we saw 2 guys dancing to music. Then we walked to the subway and took it all the way back to Grand Central station where we waited for our train to bring us back to Aunt Lisa's house. We walked a lot today. I walked almost the whole way. Matt carried me on his shoulders at the end. We are very hungry and are about to eat dinner.

After breakfast Matt, Aunt Lisa and I took Jake for a walk. We walked down to the Hudson River. Jake jumped in the water. He shook all over me and got me wet. We walked for an hour. After that we came home and went to a little farm. It had a new little pig named Fern but we didn't see her. We saw a Pony and a rooster. They also had a gift shop we could go into. You could go upstairs and downstairs. We got cookies from there. I got Double Chocolate Truffle. After that we drove to West Point. We went in the museum. I saw helmets, guns, swords, and coats they wore. We came back to the house and had lunch. Later Matt, Paige, and I played Wii. The batteries died so we only danced for 2 songs. For dinner we had cheeseburgers, salad, watermelon, beans, and corn on the cob. I am very excited to go to New York City tomorrow!

We left at 8:00 am and drove all the way to New York. It took 6 hours. We got here at 2:30 pm. I met their dog, Jake. He is black and has brown on his ears. He licks me everywhere. I also met Aunt Lisa, Amanda, Roger, and Uncle Greg after he got home from work. After dinner I played basketball with Amanda, Roger, Matt, Paige. I made some baskets on the really high goal. When Uncle Greg got home we played the Wii. We did Just Dance 2. There are some different songs from Just Dance.

We left our house in New Bern at 8:00 am Wednesday morning. We drove for 5 hours. I watched Tangled, Despicable Me, and Madagascar 2 and we played car bingo. Before going to New York, Paige, me and Matt stopped in Virgina. We stayed at the Phillips over night. We met Rachel in down town. We went to Rachel’s art studio. I got to paint a flower. After we went to a coffee place. Matt and Rachel got regular coffee and Me and Paige split a hot chocolate. Then we went to Rachel's house and met her family. Then we went to their camp down the road and went fishing. Matt caught 2 fish, Rachel caught 1, and I caught 1 flounder fish. I loved fishing. My favorite part was casting. For dinner we made Mountain Pies and dessert we had roasted marshmellows and s’mores. After dinner we fished more. We stayed out late and after went back to the house. I got a shower and played violin for everyone.
